talked with jim about people pictures one day. the next day, talked about and showing poraits i’ve done to jonathan. i decided to post another people picture. the funny thing is, there are no faces.
i did a digital photo portrait of ryan the other day that blew my socks off. a little canon g3 can do wonders with the right light. has my gears going again. i want to rent a powerful flash and softbox and see what i can do with a roll of paper and a willing subject or two. it will have to be in september….
…this could be heaven for everyone
this world could be fed, this world could be fun
this could be heaven for everyone, yeah
this world should be free, this world could be one
we should bring love to our daughters and sons
love, love, love, this could be heaven for everyone
you know that
this could be heave for everyone
this could be heave for everyone
listen – what people do to their souls
they take their lives – destroy their goals
their basic pride and dignity
is stripped and torn and shown to pity
when this should be heaven for everyone.

it arrived today, finally. this is my new moskba-5.
the first few images i’ve made with it turned out ok. i have to get used to a rangefinder.. and loosen up the old russian lubricant in this camera – it’s probably like cement by now. but overall, it is in good shape.
my first test looks decent. i plan on taking it out tomorrow as well.
yay, rangefinder!

some of our gear is starting to come in. today we received our head gear – goggles (futuristic goggles for ryan, ski goggles that will fit over glasses for me) and headlamps. the things are damned bright. two white LEDs and one red.
still a lot of plan, gather, and eventually pack up.
