after much hassle, dsl is finally installed at the new place. this means the VoIP is active. the wireless is going. the airtunes is streaming. and i’m a happy puppy.

when i got home from work today, i cleaned up one of the lenses from the hobby cameras. oh man, a shiny 8×10 rapid-rectilinear. it’s beautiful. it has some separation, but who cares.

and i’ve decided, i’m setting up a background paper and camera. if you want to be part of camera-playing, show up at my place tomorrow night and sign a release form. if it turns out okay, i’ll make a contact print for you.

the idea is really growing on me. that is, doing it yourself. not being in the darkroom or behind a camera is killing me.

what would i like to do by myself? build a camera, of course. do i have what it takes?

so far, january is soooo busy. wrap-up on the old place. catching up at work. building up the new dwelling. dinners, movies, and parties all the time.

there’s a party at my place coming up very soon. i have 10 sheets of 8×10 film from bmac, should i force party-goers to pose for me?
