tonight i picked up sally mann’s immediate family, one of the most amazing photography books i’ve seen. it sends chills down my spine.

i paged through it. then went for a drive. and thought.

people.

i’ve been slowly positioning myself to do people photography. i’m not sure i’ll ever be able to do something as personal as mann. could i?

anyways, the gears are turning. today i bought 40 rolls of 120 film. tomorrow i want to bring my pentax to work and see how many people i can force myself to approach and shoot. just a test roll. develop it in PMK to see if that would work for sunday. i’ll pack my camera now. it’s only 10 shots on a roll, that can’t be too hard can it? 5 people?
